Most of our fundraising is achieved through our annual Holiday Food Basket fundraiser, your enrollment in the Kroger Community Rewards program (click here for enrollment instructions) and donations via Amazon Smile (click here for our page). 2019 marks our 39th consecutive year for our food basket fundraiser. Each year the lodge conducts a solicitation campaign to raise money from the residents and businesses in Carmel to help feed less fortunate families in Hamilton County during the holidays. With help from the community, the FOP supplies food boxes at Thanksgiving and Christmas to those in need. These food “baskets” (large cardboard boxes) contain all the trimmings for a traditional holiday dinner including a large ham or turkey, sugar, flour, pasta, rice, fruits and vegetables, cereal, and Kool-Aid.
For 39 consecutive years Carmel Police Officers and the Carmel FOP has partnered with the Good Samaritan Network to provide 31,000 boxes of food (including 1,000 boxes in 2018) to hungry families! The Good Samaritan Network picks up the food boxes after officers, their families and volunteers pack the boxes on an assembly line and load them onto a truck. The Good Samaritan Network then uses their database to ensure there is no overlap or shortfall for those who are truly in need. Your donations are 100% tax deductible and all of the funds go straight to our foundation as we DO NOT HIRE OUTSIDE SOLICITORS. We are able to take your donation via credit card by clicking here or by mailing your donation to:

Once we receive your donation, I will mail your receipt & also include a NEW 2020 FOP Booster decal (similar to the ones pictured below) that affixes to the outside of your vehicle’s window or business to proudly show your support of your local law enforcement officers! We feel it's important to recognize our top supporters so we now have Gold, Silver and Bronze levels of sponsorship as indicated by the picture below. Those donors will receive a high quality reflective sticker that is easily seen day or night!
